I am have spent a LOT of time in data centers, but that doesn’t mean I always remember all the details.

Recepticle types:
L5-20 = power outlet you have at home {add pictures}. 120V with up to 20A draw (16A safe {80%})
L6-20 = 208V, 20A
L6-30 = 208V, 30A
Add in the exadata fiasco here (60A!!)

KVA v. Watts
Bascially, Watts is a meausre of max power, KVA is complicated, but is a better number as it accounts for resistance, heat and other imprefections of this imperfect world.

George Robinson has been taming technology since 1981. His first bitter taste of UNIX was in 1987 with Xenix 2.1.1. George's youth was spent in building electronics and writing programs to post on the local BBS. In high school, he became involved in student radio and was hired by the top station in the market. George double majored in Psychology and Music Theory earning a B.S. at Rocky Mountain College in Billings, Montana. During college, the Internet wave hit Montana and his quirky hobby went pro in 1998. He has succeeded at Systems Administrator and DevOps roles in numerous startups and enterprises like Verizon Wireless, Yahoo, Nestlé & Fico. George currently resides in the pacific north west, in a mysterious, undisclosed location somewhere outside of Tacoma.
